Women's Healthcare for All Ages

It's important that you find a family physician that understands your health and can tailor treatments to fit your needs, health, and lifestyle. This is particularly important for teen girls and young women experiencing major changes to their bodies and health as they mature. At this stage in life, it's important that they have a family physician to turn to that is able to provide them with the health information, education, and the sensitive care they need. Whether it's a first gynecological exam or a physical examination before starting the school year, our medical team is here to offer the women in your family a variety of essential services.

As women age, various health concerns begin to arise, and regular check-ups become all the more important. This typically means more medical screenings to check for breast cancer, depression, diabetes, and other long-term or serious conditions. In many cases, diagnosing these conditions early can be the key to a full life.

Your health is important, and you know your body! If you are experiencing any changes or have any concerns, don't hesitate to turn to us for care.

Frankly, any time you have a question or worrisome health concern, you should contact your physician at Texan Family Clinic.

What happens during urgent care

You'll get seen promptly, avoiding the long waits common to emergency room care. Additionally, Dr. Hoyumpa will assess your vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, heart rate, and temperature), update your medication and surgical history, assess your symptoms and examine the area where your complaint centers (your swollen and painful ankle, for example).

The Urgent Care Association of America states that urgent care physicians, nurses, physician assistants and other associated healthcare providers work hard to deliver the best possible patient care. They support and to refer to emergency facilities and primary care physicians, and they coordinate care with other providers as necessary.

Dr. Hoyumpa totally agrees with this philosophy. He and his team follow their urgent care patients to ensure immediate interventions for injury and illness and that they receive appropriate treatments in the non-urgent setting (dental office, orthopedic facility, specialist, and others).
